Jeremy S. David, Esq., CFP®

Partner, Managing Director

Jeremy joined Little House Capital in 2017 as a founding partner and Managing Director, and he is also the firm’s Chief Fiduciary Officer. He oversees relationships for high net worth individuals and families and advises clients in the areas of investment management, financial and estate planning, tax, and fiduciary services as he has done for over 18 years.

Most recently Jeremy served as Senior Vice President and Senior Wealth Management Officer at People’s United Wealth Management where he was responsible for the management and administration of trust and investment agency relationships totaling $200 million. Prior to that he was Vice President and Senior Trust Officer at Eastern Wealth Management and held financial advisory positions with Sovereign Bank (now Santander) and AXA Advisors’ Elite Services Group. Jeremy began his career as attorney in private practice focusing on estate planning and estate administration. Jeremy is also a Trustee and Investment Committee Chair of the Bridgewater State University Foundation.

Jeremy’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor (cum laude) with a concentration in Estate Planning and Taxation from Suffolk University Law School, where he was the editor and writer for Suffolk University Law Review. Jeremy also holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and French from Franklin & Marshall College.

Michael C. Kozak, Esq., CFP®

Partner, Managing Director

Michael is a Managing Director and joined the firm as a founding partner in 2017. He is the Chief Compliance Officer for Little House Capital. He oversees relationships for high net worth individuals and families and assists clients in all aspects of life and estate planning to identify and achieve specific needs and goals. He has more than 15 years of experience in the financial planning and wealth management industry.

Previously, Michael served as a Senior Managing Director and Principal of East Coast Asset Management, and before that was a Principal and Director of Wealth Management with Cabot Money Management, Inc. where he oversaw the wealth management and tax preparation services for the firm. Prior to Cabot, Michael worked for The Colony Group, LLC.

In addition to his work with clients, Michael has frequently been quoted in both regional and national media such as The Wall Street Journal and The Boston Globe, and has appeared on CNBC and other news media as an industry expert.

Michael earned a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Michael is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and before the U.S. Tax Court. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation and is a member of the Essex County Estate Planning Council.

Shawn M. McCarthy, CFP®

Partner, Managing Director

Shawn is a Managing Director and joined the firm as a founding partner in 2017. He is the Chief Operating Officer for Little House Capital. He oversees relationships for high net worth individuals and families and assists clients in all aspects of life and estate planning to identify and achieve specific needs and goals. He has over 25 years of experience in the area of trust, estate, and tax planning.

Previously, Shawn served as Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager at People’s United Wealth Management in Massachusetts where he was responsible for over 125 trust and investment management accounts with a market value of approximately $120 million. Prior to that, Shawn served as Vice President and Account & Portfolio Manager at Eastern Wealth Management, the wealth management and trust division of Eastern Bank. Shawn built the foundation of his career in positions at BayBank, N.A. and Fleet National Bank.

Shawn’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance (cum laude) from Bentley College. He is also a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute, Cannon Trust School at Boston University, where he received his designation of Certified Trust & Financial Advisor. Shawn completed Boston University’s CFP Program and subsequently earned his CFP Designation. Additionally, Shawn received a Certificate of Completion from the APA National Trust School at Northwestern University.

Robert B. Murphy, CPA, MST

Partner, Managing Director

Robert (Bob) is a Managing Director and joined the firm as a founding partner in 2017. He is the Head Tax Strategist for Little House Capital. He oversees relationships for high net worth individuals and families and assists clients in all aspects of life and estate planning to identify and achieve specific needs and goals. He has over 23 years of wealth management experience and brings tax planning expertise to the firm.

Previously, Bob was a Senior Managing Director and Principal of East Coast Asset Management. Before joining East Coast, Bob was with Eastern Wealth Management as Senior Vice President/Relationship Manager, providing wealth management solutions for clients. Previously, he was a Vice President with Atlantic Trust Pell Rudman and prior to that, Bob spent 10 years at Cambridge Trust Company as Tax Officer.

Bob is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Merrimack College and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Northeastern University. He is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University, and he received a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University’s Center for Professional Education. Bob is a member of the AICPA and the Mass Society of CPAs.
